Shower Gift: Giving Back - For those of us who are fortunate,
there are a lot of other people out there that need help. A very
meaningful idea is to bring gifts that are for children that live in
poverty or had a loss, that can be donated to a real charity (the
mommy-to-be's favorite charity). Some suggestions are a soldier's fund
for those who have lost a parent overseas, the red cross due to all the
disasters the world has been having lately or to a battered woman's
shelter. If we would all just do our part, the world would be a better
place :)
Baby Shower Onesies - A great idea is to send a white onesie
to everyone when sending out the
baby
shower invitation. State in the card to use non-toxic and permanent
markers and puffy pens that are wearable. Have everyone decorate the
onesie in their own style and have everyone bring them back to the
mommy-to-be for a gift! A great and personal way to give a baby shower
gift.
Baby Shower Money Tree - In this economy, we know that most
parents need extra money as well as baby shower gifts. A great baby
shower gift is in making a "baby shower money tree" where you plant a
med size tree in a basket or purchase a faux plant/tree from a craft
store and place small clips on each branch. Have everyone at the baby
shower contribute a dollar or more by clipping the money on the
plant/tree and then give it to the mommy to be to help out in these

Daddy-To-Be Tool Belt - This is a great baby shower gift. It
is a daddy toolbelt! It has it's own little helping of diaper changing
tools including some tongs, goggles, and an airator mask. Also a
changing pad some keys for when the baby gets older to play with, a
pacifier, lotion, butt cream, diapers, wipes, gloves, and some hand

Gift Card Baby Shower - For a mommy-to-be that lives far away
from where the baby shower is located, a great idea is to have a gift
card baby shower. This is where all baby shower guests get the new
parents gift cards (make sure they are from stores not going out of
business with this recession) which is easy for them to take with them
when traveling back home! A great idea is to have a baby shower
sentimental card that everyone brings so the mommy-to-be can read them
out loud (and the gift card can be inside each of the sentimental

Baby Bedding - A great baby shower gift is to get baby
bedding if you know the style of the parents-to-be (especially if they

Baby Shower Meal Gift - For 2nd baby showers (the second
child for the mommy) a great baby shower gift is to have all baby shower
guests make a frozen meal (like a casserole for example). When the baby
is born, the family has food ready to go during the first few weeks when
they might be a little too tired to cook. In the card you can include
the recipe for the mommy-to-be. It would be great to know what the
family likes and does not like to eat prior to creating the meal. Thanks

Baby Shower Scrapbook Gift - Have everyone who comes to the
baby shower write on some acid free paper a quote, note of
encouragement, memory, tip or idea, or anything they want to say to the
Mommy-to-be. Take a picture with the Mommy to Be and each of her guests
- as well as pictures of her opening each gift. Then take the note the
baby shower guest wrote and place it with the picture of the Mommy-to-be
and the guest, as well as a picture of their gift (if they brought one
or another picture of the shower with that guest in it). Next, scrapbook
the pictures and baby shower cards all together and give it to the

babyshower will pass around a (3 month size)

t-shirt. Colors can be white, blue or pink.
Using fabric markers, have each person at the baby shower write down
"one word" anywhere on the T-shirt they want - that would best describe
baby. Things like: cute, cuddly, adorable, awesome, lovable, gentle,
